About
Who's writing this
I'm Daniils Visnakovs. Everyone calls me Danny. I run paid acquisition for a small number of clients — mostly German companies, mostly Google Ads, and mostly end-to-end: the campaigns, the landing pages they point at, the tracking underneath, the creative, and the parts of the funnel where the money actually leaks.
That last part is why I write. Most marketing content stops at the campaign level, because that's the part that's easy to screenshot. The expensive problems live somewhere else — a conversion action counting phone-number clicks as leads, a landing page that promises something the ad didn't, a smart bidding strategy optimising confidently towards the wrong signal for four months.
What you'll find here
- Google Ads: structure, bidding, budget maths, and when to ignore the platform's advice.
- Conversion tracking: GTM, consent mode, enhanced conversions, offline imports.
- Landing pages and CRO — the half of the funnel most ad people never touch.
- Occasionally, the business of doing this work solo instead of at an agency.
Why it's in two languages
I work in the German market, so I write in German first at visnakovs.de. This site is the English half — the same arguments, rewritten rather than run through a translator, because a post that reads like it was translated isn't worth reading.
Working together
I take on very few clients at a time and I'm not trying to grow into an agency, so this site has no contact form, no booking calendar and nothing that tries to capture you. If you want to talk, email works.
